For the fifth consecutive year, Los Angeles Rams Defensive End Quinton Coples will return to his hometown of Kinston, North Carolina to give back to the community that raised him. Coples will be hosting a Charity Fundraising Gala on Friday, June 10, which will benefit the Quinton Coples Foundation. There are various sponsorships available for this event, and tickets can be obtained here. The Gala will include a cocktail hour, dinner and a live auction.
Coples’s Foundation awards scholarships to local high school students beginning college in the fall, assists young men with attending summer camp, hosts the annual Community Weekend in Kinston, and various other community initiatives.
The Quinton Coples Community Weekend has grown each year since its inception, offering many opportunities for the community’s youth to enjoy some elite training and compete. During the event in July, 2015, the Foundation hosted a football camp, a 7-on-7 tournament, and a basketball game, and the weekend concluded with a community cook-out. While this year’s itinerary has not been finalized, the dates are set for July 8-10, and you can look for updated information on www.qcoples.com or by following MSMG on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Since being a first round draft pick in 2012, Coples’s NFL career has taken him further and further from home, yet he continues to pour into his hometown. His community leaders have remained extremely grateful for his continual generosity and commitment to set a good example for the local youth.
