The Chicago Bears recently partnered with Tide and star Running Back Tarik Cohen to help moms to “Take A Load Off” this past Mother’s Day. Cohen surprised mothers by showing up at their front doors, holding a basket filled with Tide products, a dozen roses, and Chicago Bears apparel, including Tarik’s very own jersey. Cohen didn’t stop at just dropping off the basket. He showed his gratitude by doing a load of laundry for them, giving the mothers time to relax and enjoy their special day. Cohen also took time out to play a quick game of catch with the kids. Having been raised by a single mother himself, Tarik jokes “My mom gets on me about doing my own laundry, and I’m here doing someone else’s laundry”. He has truly gained a level of respect for all mothers. Cohen states “Even though I couldn’t make it to every household, you are appreciated.” Assisting single mothers and children in his community is something Tarik is very passionate about. He will continue his service through volunteering with the Boys & Girls Club of the Chicago area and the BAM program. Tarik continues to establish himself as one of the most exciting Bears on and off the field!
